It’s Sunday night — 11:00pm here in NYC — and I’ve just completed another Elite Group Experience…perhaps one of my favorite events. The “EGE” is a 1.5 day transformational retreat weekend for thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and executives who are committed to taking their presentation and communication skills to the next level.

What strikes me each time I host the EGE is the transformation that occurs in a matter of hours….the unfolding of people’s souls… the generosity of spirit that emerges as members support one other and also experience their own growth and confidence as new skills are learned.

For those of you who have thought of teaching, I encourage you to host a small group event and pour your love and talent into it.

This last weekend, we covered dozens of presentation skills techniques, with much laughter throughout. And though it is a tremendous amount of work for me and for my team to put this on, the sense of satisfaction and joy are beyond measure: the friendships formed among Elite members, the new ideas, and the personal and professional transformation are priceless.
